Guo Pei is China’s most famous couturière — a very successful high fashion designer and dressmaker. Every Guo Pei dress tells a story, about legends and fantasy, Chinese imperial heritage, nature, and life itself. Her designs draw inspiration from her childhood in Beijing, her overseas experiences, and her reflections about art. Each new collection of dresses is an opportunity for her to innovate and push the boundaries of craftsmanship.
Visitors are invited to immerse themselves in Chinese art and design (materials, iconography and cultural significance) through the ACM masterpieces across the centuries and the twenty-nine exceptional dresses from Guo Pei's master collection.
A collaboration focused on excellence
GSM Project collaborated closely with the museum’s project team, and the curator Jackie Yoong, to create a unique visitor experience for this special temporary exhibition, including a refined exhibition floorplan and a splendid graphic design approach that showcase the great beauty of Guo Pei masterpieces and Chinese heritage. Our team also created an inviting giftshop space and a hands-on workshop area for younger visitors interested in trying out fashion design.
