The role of the museum is changing. This has been well documented in recent years, as museums around the world have worked hard to reorient their missions towards becoming “third places” in our communities - places of welcome, debate, and discussion. But with all that 2020 has brought, what our communities need is shifting. This broad-ranging discussion explores how values are changing in society, what diverse communities need now, and how museums and cultural institutions can serve all of them.
